Dre’s Story
DeAndre "Dre" Brannon, a vibrant trombonist and percussionist, was born in Washington, DC and raised in Charlotte, NC. He is known for his magnetic musicality and body-rocking cadences - casually expressed by his slogan "Sounds Like Dre." You can rely on his history of strong work ethic and solid preparation. Dre has been a longstanding musician, singer, and music director of renowned group, “The Tams.”
He currently serves as trombonist at The Genesis Church (Pastor Brown) in Gastonia, NC and Spirit and Truth Church (Pastor Moore, Jr.) in Atlanta, GA.
Dre is also a trombonist and arranger for The Renaissance Orchestra (The People’s Orchestra), and most recently, for Rick Ross’ Port of Miami anniversary tour. Dre has worked alongside notable entertainers such as Zaytoven, Young Dro, Crime Mob, CeeLo Green, OJ Da Juiceman, Lil Duval, and many more.
When he's not touring, he serves his community by teaching them how to approach music at any age. A former elementary school music teacher and high school drumline coach, he is currently an instructor for Livingstone College's “Quiet Storm” marching band.
On any given day, you can find Dre engaged in live music: on trombone, playing and teaching drums, or singing.
Be on the lookout for his upcoming EP, as well as other musical projects.
He believes music is the universal language of the world and loves to use his gifts to speak it.
